Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at Delhi International Airport at 7:40 AM. Transfer to Jaipur by car for approximately 5 hours. We will head straight to one of the most beloved spots in Jaipur, Anokhi Cafe. The cafe serves seasonal, organic produce grown locally at the Anokhi farm. After lunch, we will take a short walk to Nila House, founded in 2019 by Carole Bamford. One of the most beautiful buildings in Jaipur, Nila House offers artisans the opportunity to preserve their skills while providing a unique space to learn about and interact with traditional Indian crafts, exploring their rich history. After a long day, we will check in at Saba Haveli, followed by a quiet dinner at Samode Haveli, a heritage hotel next door, offering the perfect setting to unwind and relax. This charming spot will ease us all into the adventure ahead.

Day 2
We will enjoy breakfast at Saba Haveli and we will be picked up by Pink City Rickshaw at 830 am for a unique curated tour. The Pink City Rickshaw supports employment opportunity for 200 women from low-income households in Jaipur, contributing to the local community while offering an unforgettable experience. We’ll experience the morning aarti, or prayer chanting, at the Govind Devji Temple in the City Palace and take a walk around the vibrant flower market near Hawa Mahal. The tour will also lead us to some of Jaipur’s hidden gems and the finest handcrafted products. Jaipur is buzzing with international designers and entrepreneurial spirit, and is the gemstone hub of India. In the afternoon we will walk in the old town and meet Mr Khan, who will share more on the process of the cutting and the manufacturing of stone and connect with local female entrepreneurs who are crafting beautiful jewelry. In the evening we visit the stunning blue bar Palladio and enjoy dinner next door, at the Shikaar Bagh.

Day 3
We begin with a visit to Amber Fort, a magnificent 16th-century fortress set amidst rugged hills, known for its stunning blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Afterward, we head to the Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing, located in a beautifully restored haveli, where you can explore the fascinating history and craftsmanship behind traditional block printing. In the afternoon, we will take a guided walk through the old city of Jaipur, learning about the city’s architectural history and its founder, Sawai Jai Singh II, and why it was designed as one of the few planned cities in India. Relax at the Cafe White Sage for dinner.

Day 4
On Day 4, we explore the vibrant tradition of block printing in Bagru Village, a hub of Rajasthan’s textile heritage. We will visit the village’s drying fields, where artisans, known as Chhipas, dry their dyed fabrics and learn about the cultural significance of blockprint and this complex network of craftspeople rooted in their surroundings and traditions yet dynamically influenced by new global stimulus. We will drive to Chandelao, a small, friendly village we've been visiting for 10 years. We love returning to the tranquility of Indian village life, with its sights, sounds, and walks along the dusty streets, and we can't wait to share this truly special place with all of you. Upon arrival, we will take a walk to the village lake to enjoy the sunset, before relaxing with dinner and settling under the stars of Rajasthan.

Day 5
We will wake up to yoga classes for the early birds. After breakfast, we will meet the women working at the local craft center, Sunder Rang. In the afternoon, we will visit the Dabu block printer, in the village of Pipar, a craft passed down through generations, and learn more about natural dyeing and the craftsmanship behind it. We will enjoy dinner at Chandelao Garh.

Day 6
We will drive to Jodhpur, about 40 minutes away from Chandelao, one of the most iconic cities in Rajasthan. We will meet Bantu who has guided us through the Blue City many times. We continue to explore new, narrow lanes and hidden gems. His fascinating tour takes us through the oldest and most historic parts of Jodhpur, and with more than 20 years of experience as a Jodhpur tour guide, Bantu offers a unique and insightful perspective of this beautiful city. We’ll also engage in meaningful conversations with local trailblazers, and end the day with BBQ under the stars in the Thar Desert.

Day 7
We will be visiting Ranakpur Temple, one of the holiest sites for the Jain community, renowned for its stunning architecture nestled in the Aravalli hills of Rajasthan. Afterward, we continue to Udaipur, often described as one of the best travel destinations in India and the most romantic place in the country, famous for its many serene lakes.
