Our Mission
Connecting Women
About.
TAKE TIME TO CARE was initiated in 2016 by me, Sofie Beck.
I am very passionate about the potential of social enterprises and especially their importance for women in rural locations. Social enterprises are businesses created to further a social purpose in a financially sustainable way. By creating job opportunities, the funding frameworks are changed from grants donated by the generosity of a donor, to a social business model, where women can earn a reliable and more sustainable income. Furthermore, the women not only increase the household income but they also build up their knowledge, skills and competencies, giving them new opportunities to influence positive change for themselves, their families and their communities. It is also empowering for the women to know that their work is respected and valued by other women around the world.
Get involved.
TAKE TIME TO CARE Community is a growing network of dedicated women of all nationalities. We seek creative ways of collaborating with social enterprises focusing on empowering women in rural and remote locations. The small-scale enterprises play an important role by creating employment and education for the women in the villages, but are in need of access to new markets, larger networks, financial literacy learning and so much more.

UPCOMING TRIP IN NOVEMBER 2024.
We would love to hear from you if you are interested in volunteering on one of our trips or creating your own trip. Let’s share that we all care and let’s work together on sustainable projects connecting women and creating long term impact. As travellers we always focus on supporting the local economies and travel mindfully. All our trips are self-funded.
On our next trip in November 2024 we will visit the Arts and Craft Center in Chandelao, Rajasthan. This will be our 7th visit to Sunder Rang. The motivation for our trip to Sunder Rang is to develop skill-based projects enabling Sunder Rang to continue to employ, train and provide livelihoods, as it is important the women have a place to work and earn a reliable income. Our projects are carefully planned, and we share our skills, experiences and network with the local women to contribute towards the sustainable growth of their businesses.

Sharing.
If you know a group of women, big or small, who are interested in hearing more about our experiences or how we work on our sustainable projects, please do get in touch!
Craft is the second largest employer in the developing world, after agriculture. Let’s discuss how we can all make a positive and meaningful difference by empowering women to earn a reliable income. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.
Make a donation.
The main focus of TAKE TIME TO CARE is skill-based volunteering, but we always welcome donations directly to the initiatives we support. We can help ensure donations are allocated to sustainable projects, such as training sessions, buying sewing machines, saving groups, financial literacy learning, visual communication skills, health sessions, community building and….. the list is never-ending. Make a difference!
